Everyday Beauty

Fall Makeup Routine

Everyday beauty has to be wear-able, easy to apply, fresh and illuminating. For me, it starts with a good light coverage base that offers a glowing finish and ends with a strong brushed up brow. There's a few brands that I go back to time and time again for makeup, starting with Hourglass for their beautifully gold packaged and marbled effect blushes, Delilah Cosmetics for the best brow products around, BECCA for champagne highlights, shadows and bronzing efforts, By Terry for flawless skin, Charlotte Tilbury for the ultimate nude lip, Laura Mercier for dreamy concealers and GLOSSIER for being the coolest brand on the market today (and the awesome products). Daily makeup has got to last you at-least 6 hours plus so needs to be build-able, glowy and long-wearing. Keep scrolling to read all about my current makeup routine and see these star products, in all their glory.

BASE

Each of my makeup looks starts with a hydrating, illuminating and light base that gives my skin a healthy natural glow, letting my skin shine through. I've re-introduced the By Terry Light-Expert Click Brush Foundation into my routine as with lack of Vitamin D my complexion can look dull and this quick and convenient click style foundation and brush is perfect for a seamless 'your skin but better' effect. To brighten and lift my eye area, concealing all darkness and giving me the look of an extra 2 hours sleep, I use my favourite creamy Laura Mercier Secret Concealer. With added Vitamin E it's incredibly hydrating and blend-able, giving a soft focus no crease look. I'll always keep my base light and use a good coverage, blend-able, creamy concealer around my face on any small blemishes or areas of redness and the one that's hanging around in my current makeup bag is the Delilah Farewell Cream Concealer, it's a twist up stick that hydrates whilst concealing and contains Hyaluronic Filling Spheres that help fill any fine lines, giving smoother looking skin.

CHEEKS

To add a healthy tint of colour I've been using the BECCA Bronzing Skin Perfecter which is a liquid formula, warming up my skin and keeping my holiday glow going whilst maintaining a natural look. With Vitamin E and illuminating pearls, it's not only a dose of bronze, but illumination and hydration. I usually always use cream blushes to add a rosy glow to my face but I'm back using my favourite  Hourglass Dim Infusion Ambient Light Blush as despite being a powder, the Photoluminsescent Technology gives cheeks dimension and a lit from within, ethereal glow. Dim Infusion is muted coral tone with champagne highlights that add warmth and compliments the existing bronze tones. A glossy highlight is the perfect way to finish off the skin and GLOSSIER Moonstone Haloscope adds a beautiful balmy effect that hydrates and enlightens my cheek bones, brow bones and cupids bow. The real magic behind this is the solid outer circle infused with crystal extracts and the solid core of Vitamins for hydration and dewiness.

THE BROW

EYES

Creating a strong, defined, natural looking brow is one of the main parts of my beauty routine as their what shape the face and frame the eyes. On fuss free makeup days, I simply brush through the Delilah Brow Shape, a defining tinted gel with a micro precision brush to target the hairs whilst adding a tint and filling in any sparse gaps. Unlike many brow gels, it doesn't leave the brow hairs feeling crunchy and stuck together, it's conditioning and keeps everything tame and natural looking. If I'm looking for added definition and brow enhancement, I'll very lightly go in with the Delilah Brow Line in an upward motion to work with the natural hairs, brushing as I go to blend the product through the entire brow to follow my natural brow shape, avoiding any product build up on the skin. The twist up style ultra fine pencil, offers the most freedom and is the easiest to work with.

One of my favourite brands for eyeshadows (particularly palettes) is Becca; the formulas are buttery, pigmented and easy to blend, making them the perfect shadow. I've been using a mini BECCA Opal Shimmering Skin Perfector for eyeshadow lately as it's the perfect champagne shade that's wear-able, easy and effortless for everyday. Makeup that comes in stick forms instantly appeals to me; their quick, easy and great for on the go beauty. The Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleons are some of my favourites as they glide on, blend well and last for hours. Champagne Diamonds is my Winter favourite, it's great for brightening, making your eyes pop and pairs well with bronze and coral hues on the cheeks. I've been finishing off my eyes with a light coat of the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara which is great for length and drama.

LIPS

The lips are what really tie together a makeup look and this Charlotte Tilbury nude lip is reliable, easy to wear and long-wearing. I start the lip off with a hydrating balm, at the moment I'm between Burt's Bee's and Wild Argan Oil from The Body Shop. This step conditions, moisturisers and creates a smooth lip base to work with pre colour. Charlotte Tilbury's Bitch Perfect lipstick is the ultimate peach toned nude that's creamy, light reflecting and comfortable, offering a flawless lip look. For extra definition, I'll line with Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk pre lipstick but for daily wear, the lipstick and lib balm combo is just right.
