L'occitane Aqua Réotier Range

Today I'm here to talk you through one of the most exciting new skincare launches and one that is perfectly fitting for Summer; not just for the aqua packaging that reminds me of being holiday and the clear ocean. L'occitane are one of those brands that just tick all the boxes when it comes to skincare, body-care and even hair. I've tried quite a few of their body products; their body oil is one of the best and their hand-creams, scrubs and lotions are everything you want in your routine but today, it's all about the skin and their new Aqua Réotier range.

The range consists of a water based gel cleanser that can be used as a makeup remover, cleanser and morning face wash, a ultra hydrating essence to prep the skin for creams and serums, two moisturiser hybrids; a light gel and thick cream and a refreshing face mist to keep skin hydrated and cool throughout the long hot summers. This is the perfect range for all skin types; sensitive, dry, dehydrated, normal and combination as the high hydration levels will balance skin to ensure clarity, health, radiance and hydration.

The idea behind the range is to deliver 24 hour hydration through a 5 piece range that focuses around 3 key ingredients of 1. Hyaluronic Acid; to help retain moisture 2. Glycerin; to attract water 3. Calcium-Rich Réotier Water; found in the outer later of the skin to help skin retain moisture. The Réotier water found in this range comes from a spring in Provence that is enriched in minerals with a special calcium concentrate that is 10x richer than other French thermal springs, making it the perfect ingredient to help skin retain it's moisture and hydration.

1. Aqua Réotier Fresh Moisturising Mist

Face mists are one of my favourite beauty products for their ability to instantly calm, soothe, cool and refresh the skin throughout the day, where-ever I am. I always carry one with me and this light, travel friendly L'occitane one is my most recent handbag addition. This beauty water keeps skin looking healthy, radiant and most of all refreshed throughout day due to the powerful Réotier spring water with hyaluronic acid to hydrate and energise. Post shower in the mornings, I like to mist my skin with this to refresh and prep for producsts going on top.

2. Aqua Réotier Moisture Prep Essence

Jumping onto the essence trend, L'occitane's ultra hydrating hyaluronic acid infused gel based essence is a twist on the beauty water other brands are launching. This calcium-rich Réotier water based gel gives skin a pre-moisturiser/serum/oil boost to reinforce the hydrating properties of the reminder of your routine. I use this in the morning and evening post cleanse to aid in the skins ability to retain water as it's already got a layer of moisture. Once out the tube and in my hands, this gel turns into a water-like texture that glides onto the skin, instantly relieving skin and leaving a radiant glow.

3. Aqua Réotier Water Gel Cleanser

Gentle, invigorating, refreshing, light, hydrating and effective is the best way to describe this cleanser. It's been my go-to for the past few months, both to remove makeup and clean my skin in the mornings. This light and gentle cleanser is the perfect way to dissolve any traces of makeup, impurities, dirt and external environment aggressors on the skin such as pollution. The thick gel formula really lightens when massaged into the skin and lathers very slightly into a velvety foam that helps add moisture to the skin to leave it feeling comfortable and clean post cleanse with no signs of stickiness or tightness.

4. Aqua Réotier Ultra-Thirst Quenching Gel

The lightest of the two moisturisers, this incredibly refreshing and cooling face gel is the perfect Summer day cream for it's gel consistency that leaves skin replenished and plump and sits beautifully underneath makeup. Enriched with hyaluronic acid and the calcium rich Réotier water which is known to help the skin retain moisture, this is an instant drink for the skin and ideal for keeping skin soothed after sun exposure and through the warmer months. What makes this product so special is the texture that not only glides onto the skin but contains thousands of micro-bubbles that instantly re-charge the skin with water upon application, drenching the skin with all day moisture and ensuring it stays locked in. After applying this, it feels as though my skin lets out a sigh of relief, it's been restored of all moisture loss and all goodness is locked in for the day.

5. Aqua Réotier Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream

The thicker, richer and more intense of the two, this comforting face cream as too been formulated to instantly recharge the skin of all moisture loss for long-lasting radiance and hydration but instead of a light gel, L'occitane have developed a velvet texture that combines the refreshing-ness and benefits of a gel but the softening and smoothing properties of a cream. The ingredients and skin benefits are the same as the gel, you're just getting a much thicker version; perfect for those with drier or more mature skin types and a great evening option when skin can really suck up the moisture.
