Skincare I'm Currently Testing

Since posting about my 'Everyday Skincare Routine' and 'Bathroom Shelfie', I've added in a few new skincare additions to my routine that are helping to amp up the hydration and glow. My skin is suffering from dryness in this extra long cold spell in the UK at the moment so I've been ensuring my skin is layered in hydrating serums and creams and I've been under-going regular weekly face masks.

As a result of constantly battling dehydrated skin, my skincare routines and the products I test are 99% of the time are tailored to target this concern. Serums are usually hyaluronic acid based or will contain some kind of hydrating ingredient; rose water. The products i'm currently testing out are all to help pick my skin up; boost hydration levels, soothe and help maintain a constant glow.

1. The probiotic skincare...

The first product I've started using is from Probiotic skincare brand, Gallinée Beautie and the product I'm testing is the La Culture Face Mask and Scrub*; a two in one combo that tackles dull and lacklustre skin, working on bringing complexions back to life. I've been applying a thick layer of this about twice a week, leaving it on for around 20 minutes before gently massaging it into my skin for a soft exfoliation. The Kaolin Clay and Sea Minerals help to draw out any impurities whilst the Vitamin E soothes and hydrates and the brands Biotic Complex of Prebiotics, Probiotics and Lactic Acid help revitalise and boost my skins luminosity. After use, my skin is visibly brighter and feels super soft. - skincare I'm testing

2. The mask...

Whilst I'm on the subject of face masks, the Fresh Black Tea Face Mask* is a new mask favourite. I love any products from FRESH and have been using their Peony mask for months and months which is a super brightening offering so the Black Tea perfecting mask is the perfect add on. Starting with the fresh, uplifting and heavenly scent this mask holds it's incredibly therapeutic that really freshens the senses. With advanced antioxidants it's like applying an instant hydrating treatment to the skin that aids in the firmness and softness to boost a healthier complexion.  The one thing I love about this mask is it's beautiful velvet-like texture that feels super luxurious upon application and has an instant cooling effect.

3. The hyaluronic serum...

One of my most exciting skincare add ons so far is from a brand I've adored for a long time; the incredibly powerful SkinCeuticals Hyaluronic H.A. Intensifier*, the brands award winning product. Formulated with an exceptionally high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid and botanical extracts of purple rice and licorice root, this purple coloured serum is the secret to hydrated skin. Labelled a corrective serum, it's aim is to restore plumpness, firmness and elasticity by supporting the skins hyaluronic acid levels. I've only been using this for a few days (full review coming near the 1 month mark) but my skin feels much softer after application, redness has been reduced and my complexion generally appears a lot clearer and smooth.

4. The radiance boosting cream...

To boost my glow, I've discovered the cream version of my forever favourite Medik8 C-Tetra serum. The Medik8 Vitamin C-Tetra Cream* is a luxuriously thick, silky feeling and lightly citrusly scented day cream that has been keeping my skin looking energised and bright. Alongside the Vitamin C for radiance, Hyaluronic Acid has been added to draw moisture to the skin and maintain hydration, Vitamin E for moisture and Gylcerin to protect the sins natural barrier. Aswell as being a radiant skin power product, it sits well under makeup, letting the glow shine through and keeps my skin looking healthy throughout the day.

So there we have the four products I'm currently using to give my skin a hydration and glow fix. Full of antioxidants, probiotics, hyaluronic acid and skin goodness to get through this dry skin season.
