February Favourites

FROM BODY OILS TO TEXTURISING SPRAYS...

The time has come again where I talk you through the things I have been loving the most in the past month, whether it's a lipstick, shampoo, makeup brush or even a book. In February's case, I haven't included much skincare and makeup as it's all the same products I spoke about in my Daily Makeup Routine a couple of weeks ago and instead, have picked out some hair, nail, body and candle fav's.

In the February Favourites mix, I'll kick things off with a liquid blusher I can't be without and don't think I will ever fall out of love with, the wonderful BECCA Beach Tints. Easy to use, build-able and coming in an array of beautiful colours for all skin tones, these are the best way to achieve that natural glow across that cheeks that makes you look flushed and luminous. Still battling through this cold weather, my lips have taken the hit more so than my skin and the Diptyque Lip Balm with rose, violet and poppy extract has been helping to keep them nourished and protected.

Having given my nails a hit with some shellac's this month, I've been relying on the Nails Inc After Gel Hangover Cure Nail Treatment in-between gels. A 10 in 1 intensive treatment that primarily focusses on rebuilding nail strength but also works on perfecting, smoothing, hardening and hydrating, ensuring they stay healthy. I apply two coats of this twice a week and find my nails instantly return back to normal and long gone are the delicate, rigged nail days.

I've been taking care of the skin on my body a lot better this year, treating it like the skin on my face and have been layering body products, locking in lotions and gels with body oils. & Other Stories Havana Blues Body Oil is deeply hydrating and super quick to use, I spray this directly onto my skin when it's still warm from the bath or shower for ultimate nourishment and silky soft feeling skin. With a heavenly scent of jasmine, ripe lemon and tobacco leaves, it's musky and refreshing.

My love for SHOW Beauty continues with this fabulously light, fine and delicate Premiere Working Texturising Spray that provides my hair with instant volume and oomph everyday, for effortless looking locks that swish and shine. Lightly spritzed over styled hair, each stand has added volume and texture pulling any hair style together from a messy pony tail or bun to tousled lightly tonged waves.

As an alternative scent to my Clean Reserve fragrance, featured here, I have been using a more iconic scent; My Burberry. A fresher interpretation of the original Burberry perfume, the notes of Damask roses, white moss, sweet pea and musk all compliment each other to deliver a bold, bright and strong essence capturing an intense floral burst for an uplifting Spring fragrance.

Whilst on the subject of scents, I'm rounding up this months favourites with a limited edition candle that is perfect for the upcoming Spring and Summer months. Jo Malone have mixed the 'dainty and the dirty', for their Limited Edition Charity Peony & Moss Candle with crisp, floral notes of peonies combined with earthy, dark moss that fills a room with warmth and joy. Not only is the scent of this candle so special, the floral red, green and white glass packaging is what really makes a difference, bringing a room to life as the candle glows through.
