Me Me Me Cosmetics Review

There is nothing better than testing out new product releases and being one of the first to see just how amazing a product is. Today I am reviewing two products from Me Me Me Cosmetics, which is a brand that is fairly new to me so when I was contacted to try out their brand new Lip Glide Velvet Finish Lip Pencils* (ยฃ6.95), I was pretty excited. Inside my package, not only did I receive the lip glide, there was also an Enchanted Eye Pencil*, which being a complete shadow stick addict, made me pretty happy.

Starting with my favourite of the two, the Lip Glide. Packaging wise, these are pretty similar to any other lip pencil, in particular NARS, with the sleek black case and the lip shade at the end. The size is ideal for hand bag beauty and fits perfectly into a makeup bag making it a great option to carry around on the go, ready to re apply whenever needed. Onto the most exciting part of all, the pencil itself... These are similar to other lip pencils with the chunky design and a creamy creamy formula, but in terms of the finish, they are actually pretty different to any other I have tried. The soft cream glides onto the lip effortlessly, adding definition and colour in one swipe, but the finish is what really surprised me. I was expecting something matte and non sheeny, very much like the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils, but in fact they are a lot more hydrating and 'velvet' looking than they are matte, ensuring a comfortable wear. These are actually incredibly versatile as you can wear them as an all over lip colour, or due to the sharp nib, you could use them as a lip liner or a base for another lipstick. (I should probably tell you what shade this is - Rich Truffle, a brown-ish nude and a great dupe for NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Bahama or MAC Velvet Teddy) This was the ideal shade for me to receive, you all know how much I love a brown nude over any other lip colour. The pigmentation is so fab providing a rich and bold lip with a dose of moisture and lasting power. If you've had your eyes on a NARS pencil for a while, but haven't taken the plunge yet, I really recommend checking these out first as they are a great budget alternative!

Onto the Shadow Stick, I actually received the blue stick which has one dark pencil and one slightly brighter shade of blue - not my usual colour of choice, but something I have been wanting to try for a while now after seeing Lily Pebbles' video of using a blue liner. The jumbo liner/shadow pencil comes in the most amazing creamy formula which glides onto my eyes with ease and doesn't crease or smudge throughout the day. The pigmentation is incredibly high, and they are so easy to apply with fingers or a brush. Now, you all know I'm not one to go to crazy with my eye shadow and usually keep it simple with a bronze, gold or neutral shadow so wearing this all over my lid is unlikely, but how I do like to wear it, is as a liner, where I apply it close to the upper lash line and smudge it out with my brush for a really subtle tint of colour. For a spring-y day look, this actually works really nicely and means I can mix things up from my usual eye look.

Have you tried any of Me Me Me Cosmetics before?
