New In: Skincare

For me, one of my favourite things about a new season is switching up my skincare, adding in new products and bringing back some old favourites. As products in my current Winter skin routine are running out and my skins suffering from some major dehydration, I thought it would be a good time to mix things up; a bit of an "out with the old, in with the new" kinda thing. These products are all new into my collection and I'm talking about both brand heroes and new ranges that have launched for the New Year. Full of energy, brightening, detoxing, soothing and hydrating properties, this is skincare for the masses. If you want to hear about some products that are going to give you glowing, nourished and radiant skin then keep reading and enjoy!

Darphin Vetiver Stress Relief Detox Collection

Launched after Christmas just in time for when our skin needs a detox, de-stress and a little bit of TLC post the festive season, this beautiful new collection from Darphin includes a Vetiver Essential Oil Elixir* and Vetiver Stress Relief Detox Oil Mask* both of which have been formulated with an oil blend of Vetiver to renew and nourish, French Lavender to calm and strengthen skin, Geranium to soothe and promote a radiant complexion and Marjoram which has incredible relaxing effects.

I'm always looking for new masks as they are one of my favourite beauty products; ultra luxurious and when using the right one, they make such a difference. This new vetiver mask is essentially pure radiance and beautiful skin in a pot. Its thick, rich oil texture emulsifies into a lightweight milk to help detoxify, brighten and soothe due to the special Soothe & Comfort Oil blend of Calendula Petals and Golden Algae and Bisabolol that comfort and soothe the skin. Not only is this amazing on the skin, it's a comforting and relaxing mask experience, perfect for a Sunday night facial!  Moringa Oil is a wonderfully nourishing oil that is rich in Omega acids and Vitamins A,C & E and is a key ingredient in the elixir, helping to deeply nourish, strengthen the skins barrier and aid in creating a supple complexion. I've recently added both these products into my "New Year, New Skin" routine to help to enhance my skins natural glow and ensure my skin looks rested and awake.

Origins

Moisturiser is one of those products I really struggle to get right. Too thick, too sticky or not hydrating enough are all common thoughts when testing out creams but as a major fan of the Ginzing Eyecream, I hold high hopes for the Origins Ultra Hydrating Energy-Boosting Cream*. This is the daily moisturiser I feel my skin has been waiting for (since my Fresh Rose Cream has ran out); a rich textured cream that deeply hydrates and boosts skins barrier to maintain a fresh, healthy glow. The Ultra-Hydrating version is an update to the original Ginzing cream, promising to provide radiance and hydration for longer - even through these cold months when skin suffers in the glow department... I'll keep you posted on this one.

Dermalogica

Exfoliators; a vital all year round product but even more essential in the Winter when complexions can appear tired and things just aren't looking as glowy. The Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant* and "super-smoothing masque" is very gentle, two-in-one non-abrasive treatment that works wonderfully at dramatically improving skins texture and appearance. The Lactic and Hydroxy Acids stimulate cell renewal and fruit enzymes detach the dead skin cells, revealing a radiant complexion that doesn't feel dry or stripped of oils.

Another product I've recently been introduced to from Dermalogica is their Gentle Soothing Booster*; an intensive calming concentrate that I mix two drops of into my moisturiser to help reduce any redness or blemishes. I've only been using this for a few days but already my skin feels a lot calmer and any blemish marks are less red and aggravated.

Avène

Avène is one of my favourite ever skincare brands, every product I've tried has worked wonders on my skin and really makes a difference so I've actually added in the Avène Hydrance Emulsion* to my routine alongside the Origins moisturiser as a more gentle alternative. This is an extremely gentle and light cream that is perfect for the days when my skins feeling a little irritated or needs an extra shot of moisture. Rich in the Avène Thermal Spring Water, it offers long-lasting hydration and comfort. I love how light this product is as it means fast absorption and a perfect base for makeup.
