Everyday Style

Everyday style for me usually entails a straight leg pair of jeans, trainers and either an oversized casual striped shirt or a basic white or breton t-shirt. My style remains pretty neutral, classic and is often inspired by Parisian looks - lots of navy, stripes and classic pieces. I wanted to share a few bits that I've been wearing lately including how I'm styling each to piece together an easy everyday look thats suitable for all.

I've been living in denim lately, particularly this Straight Leg style from Topshop which I have in a black and mid blue wash. Having curvy thighs and hips with a smaller waist makes shopping for denim a long process of trying on endless styles and cuts until I find the one, which happens to be this Topshop style. This particular style are high waisted and fitted over the thighs and bum running into a looser fit over the bottom leg and a straight cut across the ankle. Worn either in a shorter leg for a more cropped look as worn here or a longer leg for a full length jean, they have seen me through from Winter to Spring. Topshop denim has always stood out on the high street and with a £40-45 price bracket, you really can't go wrong. The denim is thick and durable with enough stretch you can eat until your hearts content but not so much they loose their shape quickly.

I've been styling this black pair with simple white short or long sleeve t-shirts or an oversized striped shirt lately for an effortless, Parisian inspired look. For t-shirts, I love Cos; 100% organic cotton with a loose fit and for shirts, I always go back to Zara. To finish off the look and to add extra warmth, I've thrown on my Zara Checked Blazer which I feel is the ultimate 'cool girl' jacket that transforms a pretty basic outfit into something with a bit more to it and I picked this up in large as I wanted a more oversized, boyfriend look.

For shoes, I've got a new love in my wardrobe; the Reebok Classics Club C 85 and they are the perfect everyday white trainer. The style of these are low cut around the ankle with a slightly chunkier super comfy sole and a soft leather finish. I love how these look with jeans but would also pair them with a navy or pinstripe trouser and with bare legs and dressers/skirts in the summer.
