Pink Cheeks & Nude Lips

One of my favourite lip/cheek combinations for Spring is a really soft pink cheek with a nude lip, of course paired with a dewy base and some NARS Laguna. Whether it's a light pinky nude, a rich brown or even a pale gloss, I have seriously been digging these picks lately and love pairing them with a bright eye and a dewy dewy base. Let's see what I have been loving...

For a very subtle, dusky pink cheek, MAC Well Dressed is your guy. The velvet soft powder glides onto the cheeks and adds that perfect pop of pink for a healthy glowing complexion. MAC blushers are very pigmented and long lasting, meaning there is no need to touch up and you will be bursting with colour all day. If you're a peachy pink kind of gal when it comes to blush, then NARS Deep Throat will be the winner for you. Since buying this, I've been dusting it on my cheeks every week, you already know how obsessed I am with NARS products, especially the blushers with there soft, non chalky finish, but when a colour is as beautiful as this, I am sold. When I wear this blush I actually avoid using bronzer as I think it's the perfect shade for the whole bright eyed, light base and a tint of lip balm on the lips look, keeping things natural but beautiful. Of course, with any makeup look I do, I have to amp up the glow with  a highlighter and I can't go wrong with my Benefit High Beam at the moment, I wear this product every day, whether it is a really subtle glow just on the cheek bones or if I'm feeling super illuminated skin then I dab this on any point of my face and I am ready to glow...

I did dedicate a whole post to the perfect Blusher & Lipstick pairs, so I wont ramble on toooo much here, but when I'm wearing a pink blush, whatever the shade, I mostly always opt for a nude lip. I have two shades of nude I have been layering on recently, one for the pinky nude girl and one for the brown nude girl. If you're into your pinks, then you will love Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Colour in Pink Blush. This soft, rose-y nude shade comes in the most hydrating, creamy, long lasting formula which is rich in colour and provides a beautiful semi-matte sheen lip. I'm much more of a browny nude girl but if I'm going for a pink, this is the one. You can probably all guess what my other option is... of course its MAC Velvet Teddy, my favourite ever nude lipstick and it is even up there with the favourite ever lipsticks. This is a very intense matte lipstick, not at all drying, but it is very matte. The colour is a rich brown, but my perfect shade, if I was to create a lipstick, it would look something a lot like this. Despite loving the matte lips, some days I'm just not feeling it and much prefer something more low maintenance, in which case I pick out a clear-ish lipgloss. For me, By Terry is the queen of lip gloss. The rose scented, hydrating gloss' come in an array of both neutral and intense, explosive colours but for an everyday lip, the classic Baume De Rose is a favourite. I either wear this alone or apply it on top of my lipstick choice, both finishes are beautiful.
